Begging is a major Socio-Economic problem in India. While traditionally, seeking alms was an accepted way of life in India, the current practices involve criminalisation and hence the motive and aid to beneficiaries has changed drastically. It is a planned business for some criminal minds rather than a way of survival for poor.
UDMS put forward its efforts to solve this problem by catering the roots of this hazardous tree. At UDMS, we adopt children begging at the streets; rehabilitate them; equip them with education and their rights and invest in their healthy childhood.
We pick the child from the streets and invest in the childhood of that child until the future beggar adopts the way to become an asset to the Nation. While doing so, we hand hold the child at every stage of life.
